She is Strong. Independent. Calm. Intelligent.

The Criminal Lawyer, touching the heights of success, After completing her degree and practicing, she hasn't lost any case till date, She runs her own office where she has given employment to many, being one of the best lawyers in the country, she and her team always tries to maintain the reputation, which means working hard day and night giving their best to fight against wrong.

Coming to her personal life, she is the only child to her parents so she has always been treated like a Queen.

But Now, she is not living with her parents because Her parents live in the United States handling their family business, She established her work here so she is living with her paternal family. Her parents visit India frequently to meet their only daughter like she used to do.

She lived in the US with her parents for 2 Years while doing her master's and practicing but came back when her life took a 360° turn, She fully engaged herself in her work, After that incident she came back to her country and kept practicing here only with the support of her Uncle (father's brother) and Aunty, (Shruti Chauhan and her Husband Ram Chauhan) who are also in the same profession, being Retired Judicial Magistrate they helped her a lot, Meanwhile their only son (Yash Chauhan) who is handling their family business along with Shivalika's parents is her backbone and to do not forget her Sunshine.

She was a happy, carefree, enjoying her work type girl and she still is but some past incidents run you to the death, right? The same goes for her, An incident made a lot of changes in her life, The change is maybe good, but the memory was not, what happened was not good at all.

"Aaahhhhhhhh" A man screamed when he felt a strong sting pain on his right hand's forefinger In the dark room with a dim light which was making him feel more horror, He was tied to a chair and was shivering badly in fear, his body was sweating.

When his eyes diverted to the floor he noticed his finger detached from his hand which made him look at the person in front of him in horror, pain, disbelief, and don't know what more.

"Y-Yo-You P-Please" He begged him with teary eyes trying to hold his pain.

"You should have thought before messing up with Me!" The Man said in his hoarse voice, His Deep Grey with black detailed orbs scanned his body if still any part left to torture.

"I-I wa-was Com-Compelled" he cried.

"Doesn't matter anymore!" With that he stood up and removed his gloves, A man in all black dressed, came and handed him his coat.

"Take good care of him" His man Nodded understanding their boss's command.

He left from there wearing his coat.

"Okay, so are you sure you didn't change your statement?" A Young lady in her mid-twenties asked the boy standing in front of her in the dock who was accused of the molestation of a girl in his college, whether he was guilty or not is yet to find.

The court was silent, her calm yet authoritative voice echoed when she asked the question, and the intensity of her eyes could scare anyone sitting in the court, the judge was observing everything carefully while the people sitting in the court were waiting for his reply, some were in his favor and some not, People easily judge men in such cases and so, of course, the sympathy was more towards the girl who was the victim.

"I-I didn't change my statement, why would I?" The boy finally replied breaking the silence, he was sweating and it clearly showed how nervous he was and above all everyone's eyes on him were making him Shiver.

"Miss Shivalika, we have proof!" The other lawyer who was fighting against her stood up and said.

She tilted her face a little and looked at the boy standing on the dock and then at the girl who was the victim, she observed her face, she was not looking up and was blinking her eyes again and again, she was playing with her fingers, she gulped her saliva and looked nervous.

"Well the proof you are talking about Mr. Verma, is not at all a proof!" Shivalika turned back to him and said.

"Why not? That picture clearly showed this guy was forcing himself on the girl" the man argued

"Clearly showed?" She raised her eyebrows.

"Mr. Verma, the picture you are talking about, let me tell you, that boy's back was only visible in that picture! And if you are confirming all this just because of the same hoodies then you still need to learn a lot before fighting a sensitive case!" Shivalika smirked knowing it touched his ego.

She loves playing with men's egos.

"Even we all lawyers here are wearing the matching black coat so if any one of the male lawyers here does something like that with me and someone clicks the picture from the back then we can also accuse you! Don't be so silly Mr. Verma, Think practically!"

The man felt like someone threw cold water on his face, her words were harsh for him.

"Then Why Don't you give proof, Miss Shivalika!" He spat back.

"I don't have one!" Her statement made him smile in victory.

"Then how can you say it was not him?"

"I never said if it was him or not! I am just saying that if you are considering that picture as proof then I can also say my client Mr. Veer Raghuvanshi is innocent!" She replied dodging his useless statement easily.

"I would like to ask a question from Veer Raghuvanshi, Your Honor. If you allow" Verma asked the judge who gave the permission.

"So Veer, where were you when all this was happening if you were not that guy?"

"I was going back to my class! I saw a guy forcing himself on her so to help her I ran to her and----"

"Just answer what I asked for, not more than that!" Verma cut him off, Anger was raised in the elder son of Raghuvanshi, he wanted to kick that lawyer but he was helpless, seeing his brother like that was breaking his heart, his family believes their upbringing they believe their son can never do such low things.

"Then Veer, how---"

"Enough Mr Verma! You took permission only for one question, you can not ask two!" Shivalika cut his words in the middle.

Tit for tat.

She was Enjoying it.

"Now I would like to ask some questions from Ms. Sameera, Your honor!" The judge permitted her also, as Sameera stood up in the dock, Shivalika again observed her actions.

"So Ms Sameera, you accused Veer of molesting you! Can you elaborate, what exactly he did, according to you?" Shivalika kept her face straight and didn't even blink her eyes.

"Umm-- He-he called me after lunch saying he wanted to talk! So I-I went to- to him, b-But wh-when I reached there he forced himself on me and tried to ki-kiss me" She stuttered still playing with her fingers, she didn't even look up for once which was clearing many things in Shivalika's head.

"I got to know that You and Veer have never been good friends! Then it is also possible that You are taking revenge!" Shivalika said.

"No--"

"I'm not completed yet!" She raised her voice.

"Your friend group and Veer's friend group were in the canteen when you commented on him, to which he gave a sarcastic reply and you were offended by that because everyone laughed at you! Correct me if I am wrong! You also said you will make sure he regrets it! Didn't you?" Shivalika asked with a hint of anger in her voice.

Time Skip...

"Don't worry Mr. Raghuvanshi! If Veer is innocent then I promise this case will be in our favor!" Shivalika said looking at the brothers standing in front of her who were none other than Ekansh Raghuvanshi and Avyansh Raghuvanshi.

"We know Shivalika! Thank You for taking this case, no one can handle it better than you!" Ekansh said He hired the country's best lawyer to take out his brother from this mess.

"I will, You just take Veer home, No one can touch him without any valid proof, The court has given us time, I will find out till the next hearing, and I will handle all the paperwork! My team is already working on it!" She informed.

"WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOU ALL!?" The man shouted at his two employees who were standing in front of him not daring to look up at him.

"I gave you only one work, and you all failed in that too, did I ask you to kill someone or rob something? Then why didn't you do this simple thing?" He asked being furious.

He was about to say something more to them when the door of his office opened without his permission which made him angry.

"WHO THE HELL ALLOW----" He stopped seeing the person in front of him who just entered.

"CAN'T YOU KNOCK?" He spatted in anger.

"First stop shouting, Aditya! You are so loud! My eardrums will ruptured" the man replied ignoring his question.

"You go, remember we are not over yet" Aditya ordered his employees who left after nodding and greeting the other man in front of them.

"Stop scaring your employees!" The man said while Aditya loosened his tie, relaxing on his chair.

"You don't tell me what to do!" He replied just to make his friend roll his eyes.

"Shut up, Man. Anyways, Why you were shouting at them?" His friend asked.

"They didn't do my work, I just asked them to hire a lawyer but they failed in it, Aiden" Aditya explained his problem to his best friend.

"Lawyer? What's wrong?" Aiden frowned looking at his stressed best friend

"My business in India is the problem! You know the new building has been constructed there for my new office, Now My not so New business Rival is creating issues for me, Now I have to fight a case against that motherf*" Aditya Told him, He was so frustrated

"Then You can hire a good Lawyer no! Hire the best Lawyer in the country, why are you so stressed? It's not a big deal for you" He looked at his best friend in disbelief.

"That's a BIG DEAL, The Best lawyer I want to hire is not ready to take the case, she said 'I only deal with criminal cases' like Seriously? She is insane!! I wouldn't have tolerated her if I was not desperate for her to fight this case, She can get this case very easily in our hands, C'mon man, If I lose this case then My Company will suffer from 30 freaking Million dollar loss, The biggest loss till now, No f*cking way even in my dreams I'm losing this case just because the lawyer is showing tantrums"

"She?" Aiden raised his eyebrow.

"In all that, You caught this?" Aditya became more frustrated.

"Of course, Who is that lawyer? You can hire another good Lawyer also, Man"

"I can! but she is the best at her work, It's not like she never fought such cases, she used to be best at winning such cases, I can't take risks! That man is very clever!"

"Okay! But who is she?"

Aditya paused for a minute, His best friend is really a pain in the ass, can't he ignore the name.

"Um-- Sh-Shiv-Shivalika" He stuttered for the first time in his life.

"Okay, Shivalika...?" Adien waited.

"Shi-Shivalika Chauhan!" He avoided looking at him

"Ohh Shivalika Cha-- wait! What?! Do you mean Shivalika? Our Shivi?" Aiden stood up from his chair in shock.

"You don't have to be shocked! Sit down" Aditya Rolled his eyes

"It's been three years since I heard about her.... from you" Aiden muttered the last words under his breath but Aditya already heard it.

Aditya sighed.

"Now Nothing Personal, Aiden. It's only professional!"

"You are keeping your personal and professional life different! But I think she is not ready that's why she denied it, I have heard she has a big team for every type of cases!"

"I don't know! But I want her!!!" Aiden raised his eyebrows at his statement.

"I mean, I want her to fight my case!" He cleared his throat.

"Hmm" Aiden hummed and noticed how his friend's face turned pale but he recovered soon.

"She is perfect for this work," He said and the room filled with silence.

"It's been three years, Adi. Do you think She---"

"Aiden! That's an off-case now! You know the reason! I have many things to focus on" Aditya looked serious, everyone knows how important the Indian branch is for him, His company's Half equity will be affected if he doesn't win against his Rival's company! He wants it anyhow even if it costs him someone's life.

"And Now when she has denied! Then what are you gonna do? How will you convince her?" Aiden asked out of confusion, But Aditya only smirked thinking something.
